Wow. Interesting. Before eReaders came along, I was feeding my Harlequin Blaze addiction by visiting BN every month. LOL. And sometimes, I would even get my books at Target, so this interesting. Did Readerlink say why they were no longer doing distributing?

Also, is there any chance you'd be willing to post about your experience creating your author bookshop? I've been considering doing the same instead of going through the retailers.

I don’t think Readerlink has officially stated why they made the change, at least not that I could find, but given the trends in the industry, it’s not entirely unexpected. With retailers dedicating less space to books and publishers shifting toward more expensive trade paperbacks, it’s no surprise that distribution changes are happening. Whether mass market still holds a significant share of sales or has dwindled to a fraction of what it once was, one thing is certain—the format isn’t as dominant as it used to be.That’s one of the reasons I’ve focused on selling books directly to readers. I’ll be putting together a post soon on how I created my author bookstore.
